Different country, different language, different culture. The service is brilliant, if you are polite to them. If you are a rude tourist, you will get treated like one. Simple.
All of the different arrondisments (areas) have a different vibe. The red light area is very cool and groovy. The student area is cool. Depends what you are after...

Yes, but history and food/wine gets boring after a few days. I didn't know what to do afterwards.
And I never said they weren't polite. I was talking in english and met mostly nice people, so no complaints there.
