Let me ask You, what You mean by backward?

it seemed a Developed Liberal country with an open minded culture to me, m i missing something maybe? i haven't been there, so You will know better without a doubt.

My Main interest i Auckland, so what are the average monthly expenses when You convert it to US Dollars? rent, food, internet connection, cell phone bills, digital tv, night life, beer etc
For some reason whenever I got to New Zealand it feels a little like going back in time, I'm not sure exactly why and it's not really a negitive thing but I do get that feeling. LOL

Going out and eating is around the same $$ value but you gain on the exchange.

Rent I am unsure but here you will get an idea. http://realestate.co.nz/rent

Internet http://www.internetchoice.co.nz/

Really not to sure on those cost as I don't live there but google around and you can find out most of what you are looking for. Auckland is a nice city and NZ is a nice place to explore.
