It does not matter if they came here to start a new life. If they are not legal, then they need to be deported. You don't just cross into a country illegally and then complain when a state wants to crack down on illegals. If you want to live in the US, you need to do it in a legal manner.
I can't just walk into Canada and start a new life. Hell even Mexico is strict on their immigration laws.
