Not to be mean but when you adopted the cat you made a promise to take care of her. That includes medical care even if it is expensive. If the cat did not have food and water for that long you should get her checked out. If the vet gives you a long list of things he or she wants to do to the cat, then you can pick what to decline.
Another thing you might check out is pet insurance. I have it on both of my dogs and it covers a lot of things.
