When he was a puppy he broke his elbow playing with my best friend's chi.
I don't know exactly how much it wound up putting me back all total, but the surgery- he had to have a pin and a screw- cost me over $3,000.
That night I took him to the emergency vet, then to my regular vet the following day, and then to a specialty vet hospital about an hour away. It sounds like alot $$, but he had busted a chip off the bone at the elbow and on the growth plate, so it was either that or leave him w/ a gimp arm that might have to be amputated.
I love my guys. So glad this didn't hit my wallet. When bad shit happens I just fall into the zone of acceptance, gotta do what you gotta do... but my sig other was seeing the dollar signs and shaking his head. Dodged a bullet bigtime
Just such a weird thing, it may sound like I'm over reacting, but he couldn't close his mouth for probably at least 15 - 20 minutes.
