Acting is one of the most competitive areas I can imagine

There's a reason why even the most talented or renowned actors of the 20th century barely got a halfway decent role before turning 30, and they were working real hard for years to get their chance

Al Pacino, Robert Redford, Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, Gene Hackman (who received terrible reviews at the beggining of his acting school times) to name a few from the top of my head
