While I'm not a big player becuase I did not really go full force into Adult back in 1998 which now I think I should have. I will tell you what I have been saying for over 10 years to everyone that would listen.

People don't buy what they get for free. TGP hurt the Adult industry when video tech was not up to par now with everyone being able to play high quality video. People are giving it all away for free on STUPID tube sites!

It's Killing this industry and if it does not stop we will have no fear of the Government killing porn because the industry will have killed it's self. We had a really good chance to stop when High Def came but what did they do Now let's give our High Def away for free and not protect it with DRM.

What MUST HAPPEN to save this industry!

1. All Sponsors need to STOP PAYING for all TUBE TRAFFIC! As it is now. Tube sites should only give out short non-hard core clips. PERIOD! Or be totally shut down.

2. ALL sites need DRM on all videos you get to watch the video for as long as you are a member. This model works I use it in my non-adult member sites. I have had it used on me when I would have downloaded everything and left I stayed for several months and paid $500+ instead of $50 on a site that used DRM! I don't hear netflix saying it does not work? When you rent a porn in hotel you don't get to keep a copy.

I can hear people whining right now they won't sign up. Yes they will...As of now they sign up for $1 and download 2Gb and cancel.

So with DRM they signup download and when they cancel a message pops up and says you must be member of the site to watch the videos. If all sites did this we would get control back out of the hands of the freeloaders and pirates. (yes DRM can be broken but the average person does now know how and it takes time and effort)

3. The best thing that could ever happen is a law passed that would require all hardcore/penetration be put behind a Age Verification screen NO EXCEPTIONS! This protects the Children and you would see conversions SKY ROCKET in a matter of months.

4. The industry also need to patrol P2P Rapid Share sites to have all content removed. But right now piracy is drop in the bucket compared to tube sites!

The problems is most people are here in this industry to make a quick buck and get out and are selfish pricks that could care less about the industry, performers, or anyone else.

The want to make as much as they can fuck everyone else by giving out free content and get out. The have disdain for their own industry. And ignorance of the effects of their actions.

If they had a better attitude they would make 10 times the money by NOT giving everything away for free!

The smart players that have treated the industry, performers and customers with respect and ran it like a business for the long hall are now multi-millionaires.

Youtube is not a business model to base porn on. First off you tube viewers are cheap freebie seekers as are porn tube viewers. I don't think you tube is even profitable the owners made money by selling to Google. And you see that you tube removes copyrighted material as soon as possible? Why? Because giving that material away for FREEis a THREAT to the copyright holder and they could sue for damages. Read that again "FREE is a Threat to profitability" so why is it ok to give porn scenes away for free? WAKE UP!

And monetizing free tube traffic, on other non-porn products like dating and penis enlargement is like giving a steak dinner away for free and charging for the Frys, Ketchup and A1 Sauce! You're still in the hole and have reduced over all profitability.

I remember when I could just point domains to tours and make a few grand a month from the type-in traffic. Now I have to pre-sell everything and do all kinds of other marketing tricks and SEO etc...

Do you think Mc Donalds would still be in business if they gave out full meals all day long?

How many bars would be around if Beer was free?

People offer you samples to entice you not give you it all for free!

This industry needs to wake up and CHANGE NOW or it will die. There is enough free porn online now that all production could stop for several years and only the hardcore fans that actually go to AVN would notice. And that's very small percentage of the market!

Any one that argues against what I'm saying has no clue of economics, marketing or business or has not been in this business very long.

As far as the economy Porn and other entertainment usually make more money in bad times. But now that every thing is free guess again!

A Side note: As far as music and recording artists they can make up the loss from piracy by concert sells, and merchandising. Porn stars don't do live sex concerts that seat 20K people. And when they do feature dance you don't get to see a penny.

The best thing you could do with your tube sites is shut them down and redirect the traffic to a multi-site tour.

I have said all I'm going to say on this. I think I have hit all major point and I have a ton of work to get back to! Hope this makes some people think and change their actions.
