130 mph.. 16y/o in the backseat of a 68 charger with a 440, trip deuces and a cam as well.
Myself, I drove a 67 Camaro with a 350 1970 LT1 new out of the crate, with headers, edelbrock hi-rise, 850 Hollie Double Pumper, full Cam, and 456 gears specially ordered for the ass end. Also had N50 Mickey Thompsons on the rear with keystones.
The only car to ever beat me was indeed a different 1968 Dodge Charger 440, Trip deuces, full cam, factory rear end.
I jumped him out of the hole as I always did but his power caught me through the mid and just nipped me at the quarter mile.
I could hear whoooooooooooooooooooo as those 3 desuces opened.
