A bow was used during the middle ages by soldiers known as archers. An archer would stay back and shoot arrows along an arc, into groups of enemy soldiers. An arrow is a long slender rod with a pointed end designed to penetrate armor. I once knew an archer who had no arrows. Good luck, fatfoo who is interested in archery.
