Sure there is a big influence from tubes etc but this is more of a gradual factor in pushing up ratios overall. It isn't like some tube opens up on May 5 and kills everyone's business outright.
True but most people don't understand that and don't understand how to review their stats. I'd love to see a good sample of the data and then I'll say if something is off or not.
