I'm watching LA CONFIDENTIAL again and for the first time I notice when Bud White walks into a bar to find out about his ex partner being shot there's the DOG AND CAT HOSPITAL across the street.

Can anyone from LA tell me if this would have been around in that ERA? I didn't move here until 1992
