I believe in honesty. I told my family within one year of opening my website. I did not want my Mom (or anyone else) to find out by someone coming to them and saying... "Hey I saw your daughter..."

They may not be overly joyed at the fact about what I do, but I know they are proud. I have never asked for help from my family since I left home at 19. And in the past 10 years I have actually helped them financially.

I am over 18 and I now live my life for me. If I am happy doing what I am doing, then no one has any say on what they think about me. I don't listen... or let them make me feel bad. I'm not ashamed of anything I am doing.

Good luck... hope you're able to come to terms with things. If you're that worried, I would say you may be in the wrong job market... because you can't hide from it forever, eventually someone will find out...
