Thats what happened to me ...but when I rebooted the total system inc restore/backup etc it was screwed !
HP said I would have to pay them to send a copy of the exact operating disks etc.......so I thought fuck it and simply installed Ubuntu (linux) operating system and never looked back......so I agree HP sucks.
