Actor Cameron Diaz has attributed her youthful appearance to an active sex life in excerpts which emerged Thursday of an interview published in the latest issue of British Vogue magazine.
Diaz, who has been romantically linked to New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez since February, said along with diet, exercise and laughter her beauty regime also includes "lots of sex."
"Yes, sex, we need that as human beings," she said.
"It's healthy, it's natural and it's what we're here to do."
But when it came to her relationship with A-Rod, Diaz was coy.
When asked if she was in love she said: "You know what? Yes I am. I'm in love with life."
Diaz, 37, also said she has so far resisted the temptation to go under the knife to maintain her good looks.
"I'm not doing anything right now," Diaz told the magazine.
"So far, so good. But I'll never say never to anything.
"You've got to be realistic. I don't want to look 25 again."
Known for her comedic roles in "There's Something About Mary" and "Charlie's Angels," Diaz said she loves to make fun of herself.
"I love to make people laugh," she said.
"That's why I've always made myself comfortable around other people and how I make people feel comfortable about me.
"Because the truth is I am famous, and some people are intimidated by that. I make fun of myself first. I don't want to say I dumb down, because I don't think I'm an idiot ? it?s about keeping it simple."
