To give you a short back story, this is the only survivor of a litter of kittens form a cat we thought couldn't even have babies, so that alone is a small miracle. Mom has been taking extremely good care of him and now he's starting to walk, if he gets a foot away from her, she'll come and get us and let us know he's on the move again. At the most, he has been a couple of feet, but may as well be 2 miles to her.
So I went to bed this morning with one of the others in labor and I woke up to go and check on her, noticed this little guy wasn't with his mom and she was in a full on panic. I looked in on my new mom several times, but never with a light. She had them in a cat house under a table behind a bunch of drink boxes, deep in a hole.
I looked and looked for more than an hour for this baby and this is where I finally found him......
He was with the NEW mom, looking at me like I was crazy. I didn't see him the first few times because he is the same color as the patch on Mesa (the calico mom of the babies). I have NO idea how in the hell he got in there and even more, how that new mom didn't eat him alive, but she and he were both very content with their new status. lol
