I fail to see how this is connected to the law.
The law simply says "if police believe anyone they come into contact with is here illegally, the must look into it". It's really no fucking different then the concept of "If I pull someone over for speeding and I smell pot or booze, I must look into it further".
A woman was pulled over in Phoenix a few months ago; It's been all over the news. She's a student, and her student visa has long since expired. I don't get this. Setting aside the fact that she is here in the country illegally, she's driving without a license, without insurance, and in a car that is not legally registered. If I do this, I go to to jail.
I'm sorry the kid was shot. But, that's what you get when your rolling with a pack of people who throw rocks at police officers. Period.
