they were running away from him, not surrounding him.
the more its analyzed we will get to the bottom of this, opinions in this thread of "kill em all" etc have nothing to do with the truth, so lets follow investigation.

He clearly points two different directions in the video, giving instructions... while he had nobody on his backside, it says rocks did land behind him - clearly was people behind or close enough behind him. Mexicans were yelling it too and he also told them to stop and back off - and they didn't.
The first statement by the FBI also said this was what was told to them, and they're looking into it - that's very far from lies.
