Actually, I think she has a decent chance of getting the nomination.
Here is how it could happen.
Many of the early primaries are in bible belt and very red states. These are states that she could do well it. If she spends the time and money to really hit those states hard and can win them right out the gate she could jump out to a quick lead. These wins will give her a ton of exposure and help her raise money. She then moves on from there with that momentum. If she can win or come in a close second in the next few primaries this could cause enough damage to some of the more moderate candidates and cause some of them to drop out. If she gets it down to just her and a couple other candidates and those other candidates are more moderate she could capitalize on the the christian right and tea party votes and it could help carry her.
It probably wouldn't happen. It would be kind of a long shot and there is no guarantee that she will even run. If she thought she was treated harshly when she ran with McCain, wait until she sees how badly her fellow republicans start to tear her apart especially if she starts to pose a threat.\
Part of why many in the republican party don't like her is because she is so far to the right that the base loves her and because of that she could pose a threat to them in the primaries.
