i thought the prevailing consensus was that humans made their way from the east across the bering strait and into what is now north america.
these people became the "indigenous" tribes and continued to move south into the americas.
so all of the cultures, american indians, mayans, aztecs, incans etc were descendants
of what we now call asia.
i think? heh...
