Sin City, the adult wonder land where almost anything happens, is taking pool parties to a new and higher level, by using the same system that have made its nightclubs tabloid-headline hotspots.
Club owners and resorts are stressing on what is call 'daylife' and it is not just about swimming.
Adult pools and pool parties are making a spread with reserved cabanas paying for hundreds or thousands daily, for pricey bottle service and scantily clad servers awaiting beyond the velvet (or hemp) ropes at the entry.
Like different Vegas nightspots, adult pools charge admission and often use celebrity 'hosts' as bait. This vibrating pool was started four years ago to coax locals in order to leave work early, to blow off steam and money on Fridays.
The place has now turned into Vegas institute. And Deejays spin at most Vegas adult pools, including TAO Beach at The Venetian and WET REPUBLIC at the MGM Grand resort, which are happening spots in the spring, summer and early-fall pool season.
The pool at AZURE which at The Palazzo, guests and outsiders can get massages or nibble on Wolfgang Puck''s 35 dollars lobster salad served by young ladies in white bikinis.
At the Fortuna pool in the just-expanded Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace, gamers play at swim-up blackjack tables.
Topless venues are far less titillating than most imagine. It is women's choice either to go topless or with tops.
Behavior is more refined than at big party pools, but what goes on behind closed curtains of pricey cabanas with daybeds at Vegas adult pools is a different story.
The monster party is Rehab, which has been described as 'spring break on steroids', even though bare breasts are taboo.
This seventh season, makes a start for locals who worked in casinos and elsewhere to let loose on their day off, says Vegas Hard Rock chief marketing officer Phil Shalala.
He also declared ,"Now we might get 4,000 on an average day. Last year, in one of the worst years for this economy, Rehab (revenue) was up 20 percent.
"This season is upto19.6 percent higher over to last year, he says.
The admission typically runs from 50 dollars for non-local men and 20 dollars for women who do not live in Vegas. Locals are given discounts or even given free.
Shalala credits Rehab for turning on the spigot into Vegas adult pool parties.
"The trend is a positive one for this town." he added.
