My guess is the supporters are domain squatters, and those who have some incentive. Although those quoted over the years, and some known on record for supporting it, are not all unknowns.

I wanna say there was even a thread on XBIZ.NET with one of the main dude's there supporting it. You'd have to run a search, I wanna say off the top of my head it was Helmy, but I could be wrong. So don't hold me to it.
