Brittanica Encyclopedia estimates the surface of the Gulf of Mexico to be
1,550,000 km2 that is 1,550,000,000,000 m2
so according to mcfaggin, there's 500 billion+ square miles of oil in the gulf, that's just oil on the surface, hopefully he's not so completely retarded he actually thinks 40% of the gulf is now oil.
