so transocean haven't denied it was their responsibilty, and that they tested it succesfully before the accident. sounds like this wasn't bp's fault, whether it had relevance to not being able to stop the spill i don't know.
bp's rightfully coming in for a lot of critism, but there's other companies who had a hand in this mess as well.
