I hate to be a nitpicky dick... and I try to refrain from posting in threads like this..
but if you're going to accuse someone else of being ignorant(which you are right to do so in this instance), at least don't be overly ignorant yourself.
It's not broken because GWB fucked it up. It's broken because a majority of the Presidents in the 20th century kept renewing the stupid, bullshit laws their predecessors passed instead of either fixing them/improving them, or repealing. It's broken because government intervention doesn't work consistently. There will always be recessions as long as we have a mixed economy.
A recession like this doesn't happen over the course of 7 1/2 years or build up... and the housing market is really the only thing that fucked up crazy bad, which then fucked the banks... which then fucked people outta getting money... blah blah blah.
Moral of the story is.. stop blaming the guy with a D or R in front of his name because the other one is in front of yours.
And I also despise GWB... and Obama is getting pretty close to that level before you try to spout some "lol conservatard" bullshit.
