Very lucky I would say. My grandfather had 40 acres taken for interstate 75 in Florida in the early 60's. He was paid $2,000, less than 1 years profit on the citrus grove that they took and 1/4th the market value of barren land at the time. If you are interested, there are many cases where state and local governments have shit on property owner's rights in the US. Google it.
What does this have to do with what's going on in the middle east? Nothing except when US citizens expend thought on what is happening abroad, they miss the bullshit happening at home. The US government is as corrupt as any in the world. OUR SHIT STINKS, and it's time to clean house.
