Sadly you're right. There will always be people who give away all they can, to get affiliates to send traffic. What ever the ratio, they will just give away more to get more traffic that does not buy. And if they do, so will everyone else. Start a thread asking for 6 minute hosted Tube clips and see how many jump into line.
The industry will not recover after the recession. Most of those who stopped buying, will not come back.
The industry will not recover if by some act of God all pirated content is taken down. Some sponsors will supply what ever the big Tubes ask for.
The only way for the industry to recover is to win back customers. Mostly we sell a product, at a price, the customer rejects. All the talk about what the customer wants from sponsors and affiliates is BS. If it were true the customer would still be buying.
But what the heck this industry has been kidding itself for years even when it was obvious it could only survive if the customer had no options.
