Technology that makes cars more efficient has been developed for MANY MANY years.. In fact are you aware that they knew how to power cars off of hemp oil back in the 30's? Are you aware that American car makers sell cars in other countries which get 80+ miles to a gallon for a number of years now?

If they gave you a car which you could grow your own fuel in the backyard.. They lose control.. They may consider giving it to you though if they can tax the air you breathe..
