I agree %100 with you. Real stereoscopically shot 3D is very difficult to shoot correctly. There is a significant difference between a stereoscopically shot scene and a 2D up converted scene. The key difference is you will get zero "pop" from the screen with a 2D up convert. Nothing will come out of the screen or even come close to coming out of the screen of a 2D up convert.
2 cameras and a 3D rig or a camera that shoots 3D will not guarantee good 3D. It will be very interesting to see what porn people try to do with 3D without a proper, knowledgeable stereographer on set.
