That's exactly what I thought of it as well. It's easy to criticize him for that, but I think that's a part of the sport. Whatever you do there is risk. You can't always play it safe. If you smell blood you usually have to go in for the kill. If you don't the guys at home will be criticizing you for not doing so. There's always some degree of luck involved as well.
I still think Fedor is the better fighter. Even though he's getting older now and quite a bit beyond his fighting peak.
