Most municipalities will have bylaws in place that prevent you from living in a mobile home. They are generally considered eyesores, so they try to keep them from becoming permanent residences.

You would have to seek out an actual trailer park community that allows people to live there year round, in which case you would probably have to purchase one of their trailers, or something that meets their guidelines. They will have rules on what type of trailer they allow there. Most likely a motorhome would not be allowed to be a year-round residence.

You won't need any special permit to drive a motorhome unless it has air brakes, in which case you will need what is called your Z endorsement on your license. I think it is still just a written test that you have to take.

Most motorhomes don't have air brakes unless they are the large diesel pushers.
