For the Euro crowd renting an office is a waste of time, as you usually work more towards US hours, so you find yourself in an empty building with the cleaners.
I take the laptop up into the mountains for a few days in a cabin, or last year I rented a villa for the summer, worked 6 hours a day instead of the usual 12+ and enjoyed the beach. A complete holiday does my head in a bit, but reduced hours does wonders for productivity.
