I just meant that I'd rather go to events where there is more longevity in the human contact. While I keep in touch with many people I used to hang out with at shows, it just doesn't feel like as much fun going as often when so many of those folks won't be there.

I still attend occasional shows and I do enjoy meeting new people. But I enjoy it less with the thought that they probably won't be around in a few years.

I'm only abrasive in a rubbing it the right way kind of way.
