"GM's Chinese auto sales are growing at a blistering pace, up 48.5% over the first half of the year" = very good for GM.

It surprises me that the GDP per capita of China is so low.
According to Google, the GDP per capita of China is only $3,266.
USA GDP per capita is $47,988.
China has a huge cheap labour force.
China GDP per capita is growing very rapidly in the past few years.
