Spent my 4th of July weekend over in Daytona for the Coke/Zero 400 NASCAR race.
Rain tried to ruin the event but they were able to get the track dry and get an awesome race in. It's such a fun time and
it's hard to imagine anyone with a sense of adventure and excitement putting NASCAR down.
Here's a few pics from last night that shows just a hint of what you might find at any NASCAR event.
Unlike a football game NASCAR events last all weekend and half the fun happens off the track.
Miss Sprint Cup added a little sunshine to the weekend with her bright smile.
About 150,000 fans filled the stands to watch the action and certainly got their money's worth.
Nothing compares to the start of the race when 43 of the worlds greatest drivers fly by bumper to bumper and door to door.
You hear the engines, smell the gas and feel the wind as the pack blows by and it's awesome.
Everyone expects the " Big One " and this race had one of the biggest with about half the cars getting wrecked in it.
These guys will flat out use up their race cars and drive like it's checkers or wreckers.
What's better than drinking a few cold ones and meeting someone with the same interests as you on a hot Florida night.
Mark Martin in the #5 knows NASCAR is on fire and if you think otherwise you're cheating yourself out of a really good time
