Nope. We did the SCA events in South Texas for about 7 years or so. I never got up to Houston for the Renaissance Fest there, mostly because of the distance but also because Texas RenFaire is MUCH stricter about garb than the SCA -- if you were going to work a booth for the SCA at RenFaire, you had to be accurate down to hairstyle and frickin' shoes, and they didn't like to see glasses, watches, or modern cigarettes, etc...I'd die if I couldn't pull out a pack of Kools from my waist pouch and light up.
(Although one time when I was lighting up, I almost set my sleeve on fire -- I was wearing a dress with HUGE belled sleeves that hung almost down to the ground, and just as held my lighter up to my cig, the wind kicked up and whipped my sleeve across my face...
ARGGGH!)
