Honestly, they should just make her a new character. Start the movie off that Mikalea got run over by Megatron or something
I understand Bay is trying to keep the character of Mikalea, but her existance isn't important to the franchise. If you're replacing the actress, just make up a new character. Its not like anyone is gonna scream Shenanigans for giving Sam a new love interest.
