What you say is very true. It seems unlikely that revolution is at hand. Most people just dont seem too bothered by what their government does as long as they have basic comforts. Unfortunately, the situation may have to become much worse before people openly revolt.
Let me point out .... it is not absolutely necessary that a revolution is violent. One easy way to start it is to stop complying. Stop obeying them. It's hard to start a popular revolution when more than half of Americans are bending backwards to actively help/obey/comply with government laws/rules.
