Trolling only works if you don't come out and tell everyone that you are trolling, bro. Lead everyone on for at least a couple of days. Then tell everyone it was all a big joke. Except most people are fuckheads and hold grudges like it's going out of style.
So... Yeah, I think that telling everyone that you were just trolling was probably good damage control. The english as a second language people will still be angry, however.
I wasn't joking about mainstream in the other thread, either. It's the way to go.
