I'm convinced that 99% of site owners are complete morons. I'm not sure how big of a bounce new landing pages would give but it would be significant. Problem is, these monkeys couldn't figure out how to make a good landing page if one bit them on the dick. They definitely aren't going to pay someone to figure it out for them.
