12 horses dead here in NV from a BLM roundup of wild mustangs the other day. A federal judge has granted a court petition to halt the BLM roundup for now. They round them up with helicopters and the last incident was an 8 mile stampede over rugged terrain. The BLM wants to remove about 1200 horses from the 500,000 acre Owyhee public lands complex which would leave about 330 horses. 1500 horses in 500k acres doesn't seem like such a problem to me....
