I haven't really been following so somebody please correct me if I am wrong. They knowingly release a defective product, and instead of replacing said defective product with a properly working product, they give you a case to fix the problem?

That just seems ridiculous. These are not cheap items. The customer should be getting what they paid for, no defects.
