It has always been dangerous to call the police........ how is it possible that people don't know that? You must have a lived an awfully sheltered life if you are unaware of that. Police work as enforcers for local (and national) power interests. Unless you have them in your pocket they are dangerous to you. Once again....... how is that there are people who do not know that? Is your entire knowledge of the world based on TV sitcoms?
