And ryulion, you'd be shocked at how many people froth at the mouth with pure rage when they find out I like those dirty, horrible Americans. There is seriously a huge number of people, even here in friendly old Canada, who are anti-american to the point of advocating the mass murder of Americans.

edit: I should clarify, my "I don't care if it's fake, it's the thought that counts." is a prime example of how stereotypes can effect someone who is fond of something or someone. I've never felt anything other than welcome when in a Southern state, yet the whole "southerners are stupid and violent rednecks hurr" snuck in before I even realized it. I'm not going to edit my original post, as I think it proves a good point. Everyone was friendly, so it was clearly genuine. In the future, I will try harder to avoid stereotyping, or being swayed by stereotypical views.
