I don't think I'm great, but I always tried more things to compare, I don't talk about stuff I never tested in real life. How can you say cross sales are bad if you didn't use them? You can't.
And yes, I make more nowadays, I don't understand how its possible, too. Probably because of lower costs, hosting is almost free nowadays, traffic on some sites is much cheaper than it used to be, too. Fewer people in adult make it easier to make more money.
