I read that the big problem with the Indian Tata Air car (besides safety issues) was that it had a less efficient air motor which means less range and less torque/power.
Di Pietro, on the other hand, claims to have the most efficient compressed air motor in the world. Still, compressed air cars are pointless unless the compressed air is generated by renewable and clean energy.
