If an investor doesn't research what he is investing in, then I can't feel sorry for him when he gets screwed.
Just because Glenn Beck told me to buy something does not mean I'm going to run out and buy it. A smart man would research it first, then make a buying decision.
It's like porn. You're going to get fucked and not paid, but you still leave your links and promote the company who's fucking you anyway. People are just dumb like that.
