Are you being hasty? Is this from the advice of your lawyer?

The DOJ's 2257 compliance guide FAQ points out that social network sites aren't required to maintain documentation for user-submitted content if the site has no hand in selecting or altering the content. The same logic should apply to tube sites, galleries, and other sites where you don't exercise editorial control, or modify the content in any way. They mention social network sites specifically, but the same concepts apply to other sites that fall into the same category.
