I'll chime in on the Chameleon bit and say that using its Confirmer and Partner Account Requester add-ons will save you a ton of time and energy, that you can then use on building better galleries.
And even today, do not discount the value of text-link TGPs -- although links from some may cause a search engine penalty rather than a boost.
