You said it yourself. Once you cleaned up crap off your site, the traffic stopped. You know why it stopped? Because whoever set you up with that shit was probably dumping redirected traffic straight on your site so that surfers get that malware on their computers.
Right now you don't even have meta tags setup. None. Zero.
