OK even though Agent 488 kinda fielded this for us (job offer on the way to him !) lol... I will just elaberate a little...
As he said we pay a tiered system, with the first tier at 50%... but with the potential for the affiliate to earn a higher % based on the volume of sign up's they send, with 55% 60% 65% and 70% tier's achievable... with my logic being if an affiliate can send me 100+ sales in a month, I have no objection with him getting the majority of any sale afterwards...
We do indeed pay a generous 10% webmaster referral, even though I should add that not every sale comes from a referred webmaster... so this 10% is rarely paid out... I would say we have around 100 people promoting us so far, but only a handful of those were referred by another webby...
I should also correct Sly... the webmaster referral gets you 10% of the sale, not 10% of the webmaster you have referred payout... We also take 100% of the processing fee's, so that a true 10%... same with the % we pay for the sale whether it's 50% or 70% the affiliate gets the entire %... they dont have to pay a part of the processing fee...
So a combination of the tiered payouts, and not all webmasters being referred means there is a little more of the cake left than the .5% you suggested thankfully
We will over time grow our own traffic as well to suppliment the affiliatte traffic... at the moment I would guess it's around 80/20 in favour of affiliatte traffic... I would like to see it move more towards 70/30 or even 60/40 at some point...
In regards to upsells (very different from cross sales) we do indeed upsell various things in our members area... this ranges from other paysites through to webcam sponsors, through to dating sponsors.
I think it's important to try and monitorise the member, making each members spend as high as possible. We are in business at the end of the day, and want to remain in business for a long time to come, offering stability and profit to our affiliattes... We want to be able very soon to offer a PPS payout that is both realistic and sustainable, we also want to be able to raise the base % for our revshare... and to do this we need to maximise our per member spend.
There is without question a symbionic relationship between program owner and affiliate, it's important that we realise the importance to both parties in this relationship... sometimes when the pie is cut up there isnt a great chunk left for the program owner... things like upsells keep the business profitable and enable us to offer more to the affiliate...
You will not see us offering $200 PPS or making unrealistic promises... we are simply a hard working honest company, we want to make money of course, but hope in putting a product together like BittieBucks we can help others make money too.
We have done every thing we can to make the possibility of a sale more likely and hopefully increased the potential for rebills. We have created good looking sites, with good looking unsaturated girls, in an explosive niche like "Big Boobs" we have done all we can to incorporate CCBill's features into our sites, including regional billing and cascading billing where the affiliate is rewarded for no extra work...
We have put together a bunch of promotional tools, and are adding to those all the time. We have just added a new ultra pass styled website

We also welcome any suggestions from our affiliates... I cant guarantee we will always implement them... but we are looking to work closely with you guys.
